SWT_AWT, Java3d, OpenGL

I saw an SWT_AWT widget in one of the demos. Have you dropped this and if so why. I am thinking of trying to port a significant java3d app and this would appear to be the only way to do it. Also, has anyone done a significant Java3d app in SWT? I have been programming madly against Swing for the past 2 years and now find that the only way to do certain things (i.e. integrate desktop apps - ie, word excel etc is through SWT) However, if the SWT_AWT bridge isn't very robust then the potential port is dead in the water. I really don't have the time to go down to the OpenGL level - but just out of curiousity does anyone have significant experience with one of the OpenGL ports for SWT - if so which one and how well does it work and how robust. Can anyone discuss the 3 different ports - their relative strengths and weaknesses. Any thoughts are appreciated.

The full WindowBuilder product that includes both SWT Designer and Swing Designer supports SWT_AWT.

Your other questions would be more appropriate to the Eclipse SWT newsgroup.

Thanks for the info. Sorry about the non-forum questions. I must be confused on where the SWT_AWT bridge widget would show up. I downloaded (I believe) the full WindowBuilder 7.0 13 days ago - today is my last day. I activated the SWT Designer 14 demo - 13 days ago. I was trying before the evaluation period expired to how well I could integrate a simple Java3d test using the SWT_AWT bridge. In any case, after your email, I activated the demo of Swing Designer thinking that the SWT_AWT bridge would then show up in the Pallete but no luck. Can you suggest what I am doing wrong so that I can run a quick test with it before the demo of SWT Designer expires. Thanks for the help.

When the full WindowBuilder product is installed and activated, there will be an SWT_AWT palette category on the SWT Designer palette.
