keeping annotation when using WindowBuilder Pro

Postby d95776 » Tue Jul 01, 2008 1:00 pm

If I associated a java annotation (created by me) with the GUI compnent (such as control, wizard, viewer and etc..) created by WindowBuilder Pro, does WindowBuilder Pro change the association when I use the tool to remove or add other GUI components or listeners?

ThankS!

The tool will only update the code it actually needs to change.

It should not effect any other code or formatting in the class.

I see the tool re-shuffle the GUI components when I add or remove some GUI components. For example, I put some comments along with some GUI components, after the tool re-shuffling the GUI components, my comments are mis-placed in some place which is not aligned with the original GUI components I tried to comment. If this kind of behavour of the tool applies the java annotation, then I would say the tool needs to be improved.

What do you mean by "re-shuffling"? Are you rearranging components such that they need to be rearranged in the source?

I think we need to see an example of what you are doing and what kinds of annotations you are applying.

The annotation is what we created for some specific purpose. Behind that, aspectj is used. I got trial WBP tool for 2 weeks. It has been expired. If you allow me to use the tool for another 2 weeks, I would be able to recreate the problem.

thanks
