How to turn off multi drop widget

Postby Kelly » Tue Oct 30, 2007 7:17 am

Can not find how to turn off multi drop widget behavior in WBP.

I create a SWT Shell and then select a button widget and click on the window to place the button. The cursor does not change back to a selection type cursor and if I click again on the window it places another button at that location.

I like to drop a widget onto the widow and then drag or resize it, then go back and get another widget to place on the window.

It would be nice if I could assign the multi drop behavior the Shift Left Click action. If want to place another widget like the last widget I selected from the widget panel I would hold down the Shift key and then left click my mouse.

Eclipse SDK
Version: 3.3.1
Build id: M20070921-1145

WindowBuilder Pro
Version: 6.5.0
Build id: 2007.10.30

Java 1.6_03

Thanks for any help and WBP is wonderful to use.

Multi-widget drop mode is initiated by Ctrl+clicking a widget in the palette.

The tool stays in multi-widget drop mode until you click on something else in the palette (like the Selection command).

I am not aware of any way to put it into multi-widget drop mode without Ctrl+clicking on the palette.
