SWT 1.2.2 does not load 1.2.1 designs

Hi,

I have 2 designs that we created with 1.2.1 that simply don't show on the design tab of 1.2.2.

I removed 1.2.2 (with designer-delete.bat) and reinstalled 1.2.1 and everything is now back to normal.

Is this normal behavior, i.e. 1.2.2 is not downward compatible with 1.2.1 ?

I was surprised to see this message because we hadn't even announced the availability of the 1.2.2 beta yet. I am guessing that you must have downloaded the earlier placeholder version that we uploaded earlier (which had problems with some ApplicationWindow designs). You should download the (newer) 1.2.2 beta again and give it another try.

1.2.2 is definitely "downward" compatible with 1.2.1. That doesn't mean that something might not break in one of the betas as new features are added. When you encounter something that used to work and then stops working, please send the broken window to support@swt-designer.com. If we can reproduce the failure on our end, that will facilitate getting you a fix faster. We will likely be posting 1.2.2 beta updates every couple of days until it is finalized.
