I've never heard of that one.
What are its important attributes (e.g., why would you use this rather than GroupLayout, GridLayout or FormLayout)?

Well Eric, you should ask Konstantin Scheglov for that. He gave some kind of promise at Javalobby when he discussed about Miglayout. You can look at
http://www.javalobby.org/java/forums/t7 ... l?start=15 for that.
These are his words:
Congratulations
Mikael,
Your layout looks very promising. Most probably I will add support for it in SWT/Swing Designer, initially only basic, "strings only mode". And once I will understand it fully, I will try to add some GUI for visual editing columns/rows and components constraints as we do now for JGoodies FormLayout.
Konstantin Scheglov - Java GUI developer
SWT/Swing/ GWT Designer - SWT/Swing/GWT GUI designer for Eclipse
So I just wanted to know if there are any plans to realize this or not.
Greetings.

I still confirm that I like MiG Layout and want to add it. Right now however I'm a little busy, so can not provide enough time for good support of MiG Layout. Estimation is > 3 months < 6 months.

We are currently working on Data Binding support and eSWT/eRCP support as our major projects.
Support for MiG Layout will be sometime after those projects are completed.

Hello guys,
I just want to tell you that I will help you with fast support when you start on this.
It should also be noted that there is a special class, IDEUtil, that is made purely for helping with IDE integration. It will convert between objects and source code for instance.
Cheers,

No. Other, more important features have continued to push it down our list.
We do still plan to do it at some point.

Just curious on what the timeline is for Miglayout support as the end of the year approaches ?. I'm currently evaluating the WindowBuilder product and likely will buy a licence, Miglayout support would help swing the decision. The first query regarding support was back at the start of 2007, getting close to 2 years now so to be honest I'm concerned that it will ever appear.

Eric,
Great work and thanks for such a detailed reply !. This is definitely going to help towards making a positive decision on purchasing once my eval expires. I assume registered users can gain access to beta if needs be ?.

Is there MigLayout Support in the SWT-Designer 7.0 ? In the "What's new" note of 7.0 it is only mentioned for Swing. And in the SWT-Designer itself I can't find it. Is the GroupLayout still available?
