We also need to see your Eclipse ".log" file.

What happens with our GWT-Ext Example Project?

No. EXT GWT requires a substantial amount of custom edit-time support. We plan to add support for it later this year.

Eric Clayberg wrote:We are currenty working on GWT 1.5 support as you suggest.

We hope to have some initial EXT GWT support (equivalent to what we have for MyGWT now) this summer some time.

We hope to have full support for all of the complex widgets and panel types later this year.

Just curious if there is any update on this topic since it was discussed here a couple of months ago. Has anyone had any success somehow using the simpler widgets of ext-gwt with designer? Are you still planning on full support within a few months? Thanks for any info!

Now that everything is released, is there any documentation describing how to create a GWT project from scratch in Eclipse that includes GWT-Ext? Perhaps if I knew all the tools well, this would be obvious, but I do not.

Instructions for doing that are available on the GWT-Ext site. We do provide a GWT Example Project that has already been set up for you.

Oops, perhaps I wasn't clear, but those posts I quoted were asking about the Ext GWT library, and at least the way I read them your position was that you would have rudimentary support over the summer for Ext GWT and full support late in the year. I was curious whether there is any update on that projected Ext GWT support.

The support of GWT 1.5 is very clear from your release notes and FAQs and such! Thanks!

We haven't started working on EXT-GWT yet, but do hope to work on it later this year.

Support for GWT 1.5 required an almost complete re-write of the product internals so that consumed several months of development time.
