Open Sourcing CodePro or other former Instantiations offring

Postby rickschultz » Tue Oct 05, 2010 1:13 pm

Are there any plans on Open Sourcing CodePro or any of the other former Instantiations offerings?

I'd hate to see them go unmaintained and have little support. Open Sourcing them would certainly help in maintaining them and overall good corporate citizenship. I'm sure a strong community would grow from it. :D

Thanks,

Rick

We have no plans in the open source area to announce at this time. Given Google's rich history in the open source world, we are considering lots of options. ;-)

I should also point out that CodePro and the other Instantiations tools are being actively maintained, enhanced and supported.

Hi,

I have tried using the CodePro Analytix Junit generation tool. It is a great effort done to automate the JUnit test case generation. But I have found that it is not working as expected. For example, I had a code that had many conditional statements. The tool generated a number of test cases, but all the cases were the same. Is it a bug ? How can we get help with such issues? Also the test cases didn't consider exception blocks in the code.

Any sort of help will be great : )

Thanks and regards,
Shiby

Without more information (like an actual example), I have no idea. Doesn't sound like a "bug" however.
