Future of RCP Packager

As far as I know, Google donated window builder and code analytix to Eclipse community.
But what about RCP Packager?

Instantiations was in the process of shutting down work on the RCP Packager even before the Google acquisition (it was no longer included in RCP Developer, for example), so it is unlikely that Google will be doing anything with RCP Packager in the future. In the years since the RCP Packager was first conceived, the Eclipse RCP build process has more than caught up and surpassed it. The installer portions of RCP Packager also never worked with Eclipse 3.4 and above because it was fundamentally incompatible with the Eclipse p2 model. So...to be painfully honest, RCP Packager has no future.
