A bit confused about Swing Designer versions...

Postby Shlomi » Sun Jan 09, 2011 9:50 am

After reading viewtopic.php?f=4&t=5214 i got a little confused.

We were paying customers for a few years now. Some time ago, after your merge with google, we didnt really know what was going on with the project, and then we realized it is getting continued and that it is becoming open sourced.

Is there still a "Pro" version for paying customers? what are the differences? How and Who do we need to contact to obtain the "Pro" version?

I would really appreciate your input,

Best Regards,

There is only one version of Swing Designer available at this moment. It is currently free and available from Google.

In the very near future, Swing Designer (and SWT Designer) will be moving to Eclipse.org as part of the new, open-source WindowBuilder project. Once that happens, Swing Designer will continue to be available for free from Eclipse.org (and from any other vendor who wishes to bundle it). Genuitec has announced that they intend to provide commercial support to any Swing Designer customers who wants it. Free support will continue to be available through on-line forums as it is now.
