I have no idea what the above means.

In general, Swing Designer can edi any GUI class created with the VA Java Composton editor without any modifications so no "migration" is necessary.

Thanks for Ur Response Mr.Eric Clayberg,

The problem is that a screen (JDialog with come components) that is designed using Visual Age Visual Composition looses the layout information when the class is exported and viewed in Eclipse Visual Editor.

Though there is no issues with running the application, future GUI modifications becomes very difficult to due to this.
Here I have attached some screen shot of the same JDialog which I have taken in VA and Eclipse, which should give you a better idea of what I am talking about.

Because of this problem we are unable to go further.

so plz guide me and give me some solution.

Thanks and Regards

Why are you asking about the Eclipse VE in our Swing Designer forum?

I would not recommend using the Eclipse VE for anything at this point. ;-)

If you want to talk about the Eclipse VE, you shoud use the Eclipse VE newsgroup.

If you are actually interested in migrating a VA Java GUI app to Eclipse, then you should give Swing Designer a try and you can discuss that here.

I would not waste your time trying to get the VE to do anything unles you are prepared to go back to Eclipse 3.2.

Thanks for Ur Response Mr.Eric Clayberg,

I downloaded the swingDesigner (SwingDesigner_v7.0.0_win32_x86.exe) tool and tried. If im tryin to open with WindowBuilder Editor mean i couldnt get the GUI part, if it is big classes mean Eclipse getting crash.

Thanks

That is why I suggested using the very latest v7.0.0 build. The screen shot I posted was taken using that.

I also tried it with v6.9.1 and it worked fine as well. Did you install v6.9.0 or v6.9.1? If you use the installer, make ure to install into a clean Eclipse 3.4 environment.

Note that it is generally easier to install into Eclipse 3.4 using the product update site (v6.9.1 and v7.0.0 each have their own update sites).
