I have a custom java bean component which I can drop into the Swing Designer and manipulate the properties etc.. ( works just fine )
However, I need to debug into my component code at design time - e.g. if I change a property. Is there a way to do this?
Also, I tried printing debugging info via System.err / System.out and looks like the Swing Designer is eating the messages and I do not see anything in the log files. Is there a way to write to the log file using System.err so I could see what is happening at design time in my component?
Thanks

Run Eclipse using eclipsec.exe and use standard System.out.println() invocations.
