What does a running man icon mean?

Postby jtuchel » Fri Jul 25, 2008 12:30 pm

Hi there,

In one of my images (VAST 7.5.2, VA Assist enabled) I see a black little running (or kung-fu fighting) man icon after the class name and version string in eg the Application Manager. I couldn't find this icon in the VAAST.pdf, and I'd like to understand what this man wants to tell me.
Does it have to do with possible problems with the library? What if I export an app with such classes in it?

The classes do not inherit from TestCase or AbtAppBldrView or so, so it's definitely not an indicator for a runnable or testable class...

Hope somebody can shed some light on this.

Regards

Joachim

That icon indicates that the class is a runnable UI class.

See p9 of the VA Assist manual.

Eric,

thanks for pointing me to page 9.
I found the icon there. Funny I didn't see it when I skimmed over this exact page ;-)
I will have to look at this a little deeper, because I think I haven't seen this icon before on these classes. None of them are GUI classes.
I cannot say right now if my image is corrupt or something. I'll have to compare with another image (at work). If it's just in this one image I'll simply not think about it any more...

Regards

Does it understand #open or #openInShellView?

Look at implementors of #stsClassIsOpenable.

Eric,

yep, that's it: they understand #open ;-)
Thank you very much for taking your time to look into this.

Kind regards
