I am afraid I didn't understand your questions. Are you asking if it is possible to upgrade from 5.5 to 7.5? Yes, you can! Simply buy a new licence.
Do you ask whether it is hard or easy to do so? Well, that depends on your project's code structure. We've done some migrations from versions beginning at 4.5 to 7.x, and depending on your configuration management, this can be a really easy task as well as soe work. It is, however, very well doable.

Maybe you can tell us more about what you are looking for.
