GWT-Ext vs. GXT

Postby rernst » Fri Oct 16, 2009 8:58 am

Can someone clarify for me whether I should for a project I am about to embark on use GWT-Ext or GXT? I have perused the forum and seem to have found indicators that GWT-Ext is 'dead in the long run' and would hate to start something off on the wrong platform. It would appear that either framework will do what I want.

THoughts? Input?

Are you developing a commercial application or a free, open source application?

You should review the license(s) attached to both libraries.

GWT-Ext is free; GXT is not.

GXT is supported; GWT-Ext is not (much).

Both overlap considerably. i fyou are OK with the GXT license cost, use GXT.
