Can't create GWT app run/debug configuration

Postby TomHj » Fri Jan 25, 2008 2:53 pm

I've been using the GWTDesigner product for about 5 months now. I recently branched my code/project and am trying to setup a new Eclipse workspace to work on that branch. I successfully imported the branched project into Eclipse. Everything builds without problems (ignoring some Collections warnings).

But when I try to add a debug/run configuration, I can't get past the "Enter GWT module" error on the Main tab. The "Browse..." button properly found my project and the "Search..." button properly found my list of modules and I selected the one I wanted. But no matter what I do, I can't get rid of the "Enter GWT module" error.

Here is a screen snapshot:

If I switch workspaces back to the "head" workspace, all works fine.

I'm running Eclipse 3.3 Europa on Win XP with GWT Designer 3.0.1 (just downloaded/refreshed latest build).

Any ideas?
thanks,
Tom

What you are seeing would be consistent with not having GWT Designer configured to point to a valid GWT installation.

Please check your Designer > GWT preferences and make sure that they are pointing to your current GWT installation directory.

If that preference is blank or pointing to a directory that no longer exists (as might be the case if you upgraded your GWT installation), you would see an "Enter GWT module" error message in the launch config dialog.

Very good. In the latest build, we have added a more explicit error message for that case.
