Widget Libraries

You can find lots of widgets and widget libraries for GWT on the net.

I've tried the GWTWidgets (opensource) and GWT-GT librairy, though they both fail to work in GWT Designer.

Is there a list somewhere of widgets that are compatible ?

Any widget that follows standard Java Bean conventions should work. The most important requirement is that a widget must supply a default constructor.

For additional info about the open source GWT widgets project, see this forum thread.

So what you are saying is that there aren't much widgets available that will are 'download and click' into GWT Designer. (since i suppose most widgets are build just to be used programmaticly)

At the moment, most GWT widget packages are very earlier in their development and barely qualify as early betas.

The GWT Widget library, for example, is showing a 0.1.3 version number and has not been updated since November.

Fortunately, that package is open source, so it would not be very difficult to add the missing oieces need to make it Java Bean compatible.
