Runtime Error

Postby ashouric » Fri Oct 27, 2006 10:54 pm

In Latest continous build:

On creating a project, and opening ImageViewer Designer, a runtime error happens:

Code: Select all
A Runtime Error has occurred.
Do you wish to Debug?

Line: 3
Error: Unspecified error.

Another thing, should issues on latest build be submitted here, or in somewhere else?

Is this repeatable?

We could not reproduce this. In fact, those are not error messages created by Designer.

That looks like an error coming from Internet Explorer. Here are some links that seem talk about this:

http://www.sureshotsoftware.com/article ... rrors.html
http://www.somerville.ox.ac.uk/students ... ebug_error
http://www.smartcomputing.com/techsuppo ... orID=23205

It looks like the recommended fix is to turn on the "Disable script debugging" option.

GWT Designer questions may be submitted here or sent to wb-support@instantiations.com.

Yes, always.

Yes, they are by IE, but it is designer-related, as whenever reverting back to the version downloaded at 26/10 12:46 AM (GMT-5), the error disappears, newer versions reproduces it.

AFAIHK, debugging messages occur after installting Visual Studio .NET.

That removed the annoyance, but there is a possiblity of disabling other useful information.

Anyway, thanks for your help, it might be my Windows issue, and hope if you can test using IE7 with Visual Studio 2005.

I haded this problem as well! Which JDK-Version do you use? I used JDK 1.5 first (compiler-settings: 5.0). Then I switched to JDK 1.4 and everything worked (compiler-settings: 1.4)!

Did you already try that? It solved my problem. I only recieve script-errors now if I coded something wrong...

Note that GWT does not support JDK 1.5 yet.
