Cannot open Java file with multi-page editor

Postby rgliane » Mon Aug 18, 2003 8:40 am

Hi,

Great product and it "was" working fine. Unfortunately, I ran into some problems because of another plug-in. I'm hoping you've run across this or might have some insight into the problem. Ever since I installed the UML modeling plug-in from TogetherSoft, I cannot open a file with the SWT Designer editor. I see the error which I partially listed below. The TogetherSoft plug-in comes with a gef.jar which might be the problem.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Yes, you are right, problem is with GEF.
It seams that TogetherSoft's plugin uses GEF 2.1.0, but Designer requires GEF 2.1.1. Can you try to replace gef.jar with jar from GEF 2.1.1 ?

Did it and seemed to get further in the call stack but still failed with an error. Might have to wait for TogetherSoft to move to GEF 2.1.1. Is there a version of SWT Designer that can be used with GEF 2.1.0?

Ok, version 1.1.1 with GEF 2.1.0 compatibility uploaded.
Please try it and provide exceptions traces if something wrong.
