Eclipse Crash

I am attempting to follow the demo application flash.
I create the JDialog and attempt to set the Dialog title.
Then it flashes a couple things on the screen and then eclipse crashes.

Anyone have an idea at what is wrong?

What Eclipse do you use, what OS, what GUI toolkit?

Can you provide crash trace?

I have exactly the same problem on a Gentoo 1.4, I'm using the latest Eclipse 2.1.1 , GEF 2.1.1, GTK 2.1.1 SWT Designer Free Version 1.1.2, blackdown-jdk-1.4.1.


The crash is reproducable, I create a new SWT Dialog application, then go to the dialog, klick on the title inputbux enter a title as soon as I press enter or if I click on the dialog eclipse crashes with following error message:

JVM terminated. Exit code=1
/opt/blackdown-jdk-1.4.1/bin/java
-cp /opt/eclipse/startup.jar org.eclipse.core.launcher.Main
-os linux
-ws gtk
-arch x86
-showsplash /opt/eclipse/eclipse -showsplash 600

Maybe it is a bug that occurs on systems with blackdown, which is the default for gentoo installs

Now I tested it again with suns sdk and same problem again:

So I'd really appreciate some help here.

By the way , I have installed it also on my windows laptop, no issues there, but that is not exactly what I would like to do.
