SWT Designer allows you to create the views, editors, perspectives, pref pages, composites, etc. that comprise Eclipse SWT & RCP applications and plug-ins.

Im using gentoo linux with pekwm 0.1.3 as my windowmanager with activated harbour with different dockapps.
The problem is that these dockapps also appear in the main screen swt-designer as you can see in the appended picture

You can either turn on
Draft Mode (
Designer > General pref page), or dock those dockapps somewhere other than the upper left corner of the screen.

You can also try this
new build.

i have installed the new build...but when i start the designer ... eclipse crash. and i can't do anything in eclipse. the only way out is to kill the process.

Eclipse 3.0 sometimes has problems loading new versions of plugins. Delete your Eclipse "configuration" directory and then restart Eclipse.
