I can't find the log file ... I know .. I'm a noob...

I had the new 1.2.3 version installed (after working with the beta for a while)... and got some errors that referred me to the log file.

I wanted to have a look at them and post them here if necessary, but alas ... I can't find the log file, nor can I (easily) find a reference to where I have to look for it in the user manual ...

I've mentioned it before .. I'm quite new to Java/WSAD so maybe this is the stupidest question of them all .. but i'm still asking it :D

P.S... the forementioned error only appeared with the release version, after reverting back to the beta version it was gone again. So I think finding the log will be very helpfull.

Thnx for the quick response,

Alas ... no workspace folder in my eclipse folder ... Difference maybe being that i'm using WSAD v5.1 and not 'only' eclipse ...

Any other suggestions maybe ... ? or is logging something that needs to be activated explicitly???

You can try to find just file with name ".log".
Use your favourite file manager. :-)

If you don't have .log at all and receive some error messages from Designer, can you please describe, what you do and what Designer reports?

I think I've found it (or so it seems) ... Under WSAD it's in the following location ...

..\IBM\wsappdev51\workspace\.metadata

but ... it's almost 177 Mb at the moment ... (don't you dare laugh :D)

My texteditor has a 'little' difficulty opening it ... so I'll throw it away next monday and repeat the things I did with the 'release' version and a clean log ... That should shed some light on things...
