Have to reinstall WindowTester after updating Eclipse plugin

Postby kgehrke » Thu Aug 16, 2007 10:43 am

I seem to have to re-install WindowTester after updating the Eclipse plugin I am testing. When I go to run my test, the following Required Plug-ins are missing:
com.instantiations.eclipse.debug
com.instantiations.common.core
com.instantiations.eclipse.util

The 3 com.windowtester plugins are there still there.

Has anyone seen this before?

Thanks,
Kevin

Did you use the full installer or the zip file?

Are you running your test within Eclipse or Ant script?

In your \eclipse\links folder do you have a link file called com.instantiations.shared.link? Does it contain the correct path to your [WindowTester Install dir]/Shared_vX/E-3.x directory?

What version of Eclipse and WindowTester build date are you running?

Yes
Does it contain the correct path to your [WindowTester Install dir]/Shared_vX/E-3.x directory?
Yes, it does:
path=C:/Program Files/Instantiations/Shared_v5.2.0/E-3.2

Eclipse:
Version: 3.2.2.r322_v20070119-RQghndJN8IM0MsK
Build id: M20070212-1330

WindowTester SWT Evaluation
version 2.2.0 [20070706084715] for Eclipse 3.2

I just found out this application might be considered an RCP, which contains plug-ins.

Hmmm.. we can't reproduce this and so far this the first time we heard of this. Could you give us a step-by-step instructions on how to reproduce this including any test projects that we could use?
