I'm trying to set up a client application in GWT. I had some problems because there is a lot of code that isn't supported by GWT on the client side (e.g. InputStreams and so on).
At the moment I have a frame on my webpage that shall show an ordinary html page (like http://www.google.com
) - that's working so far. But now I try to go a step further and not just showing a page in a frame... I would like to work with an RSS-feed. Extracting elemtents and arranging them on my page in the way I want. First I tried to set up an InputStream to work with the data - but this isn't supported gy GWT client-side.I was trying with google-weather-api: http://www.google.com/ig/api?weather=London
My question now is: Is there a possibility to get the page source of an html-side? I tried to use "requests" but it didn't work properly - I always got status code 0 and the response.getText() method was empty...
It would be great, if you can help me with this querry.
