Remote Service Testing

Postby dcosio » Wed May 30, 2007 11:59 am

Hi, Im new to this tool and GWT but so far I finder using the IDE pluging to be pretty cool. The only trouble Im having is with my remote service servlet. Standard servlet would be deployed in a web app with a web.xml file.. When I created my remote sevice nothing other than the servlet entry in gwt.xml file is found. I wanted to define my db connection info somewhere(usually in web.xml or in a web app context.xml) but I don't see where I could put this( a property file??) I was trying to keep this a simple as possible since Im new..

Ay you may know, you can't use your own web.xml in GWT's hosted mode (the GWTShell generates it instead), so you should place your parameters somewhere else.

A property file near the package used for the remote service (servlet) is a fine solution.

BTW, general GWT questoins should be posted to Google's GWT forum.
